Dear music lovers and friends,
I am thrilled to announce the world premiere of my octet, “Ad Ora Incerta”, which will take place on August 25, 2024, in Sanary-sur-Mer as part of the Sanary en Musique Festival. This work, commissioned by the Collectif Fractales, will be performed by the ensemble during an evening dedicated to chamber music, where it will be presented alongside Schubert’s renowned Octet.
“Ad Ora Incerta” draws its inspiration from the poignant poems of Primo Levi, an anti-fascist resistance fighter and Holocaust survivor. Through this composition, I sought to transcend the boundaries of time and space, delving into the depths of the human soul. The octet, structured in three parts, explores themes of art as a refuge, love in adversity, and human resilience in the face of defeat.
This project is an exploration of the timeless emotions that connect us all, using music as a prism to reflect on our collective humanity. I hope this work will resonate with you as deeply as it has with me during its creation.
I warmly invite you to join us for this unique moment and to experience this new composition in its premiere performance.
